At Rockcastle Riverside, a new private concert venue in Rockcastle County. You will exit I-75 south of Renfro Valley, turn left onto Lower River Road and follow it along the Rockcastle River (paddlers may even choose to canoe or kayak in from Livingston; it’s one of the state’s best whitewater streams) into the Daniel Boone National Forest. The road turns to gravel as you come onto 240 acres of perfect seclusion, framed by mountains, with riverside camping, an RV park and a brand new 30’x40′ main stage. Here we will escape the insanity of the world and reboot, awash in music, art and poetry.
The gates open at 10AM on Friday and the music starts at 2:30PM EST.
Camping is included in the price of your ticket, assuming it is a full-weekend pass. Camping is not an option for those entering on day passes. You must have a full-weekend pass to camp.
OK, so this is a silly question. Of course there will be alcohol. There will not be alcohol FOR SALE, however. Alcohol cannot and will not be sold at the festival venue. Rockcastle County is completely dry. Therefore, it is critical that you bring with you whatever you want to drink. Having said that, it won’t be long before you run into smiling regulars offering you sips from the jar.
Food trucks will be on site serving ridiculously gourmet food. We take pride in having the state’s finest food trucks out at Moonshiner’s every year. You are also more than welcome to bring in a loaded cooler and prepare your own food. No one will be searching your vehicle.
Dogs are not allowed. You will be turned away if you attempt to enter the festival with your canine. I know it’s a bummer, but there are legitimate reasons behind it.
Individual campfires are only allowed in above-ground devices, like grills or portable fire pits. No ground fires are permitted. There will be a glorious bonfire raging at night for everyone to enjoy.
Yes. The gate price will be higher, however, than the online ticket price. Also, there is a distinct possibility the festival will sell out. For these reasons, we recommend you buy in advance if at all possible.
We take credit cards at the front gate and at the merchandise table, but you will probably need cash for food and band merchandise. There is not an ATM on the farm. Bring plenty of cash.
